9thAugust, 1992, a new horizon ushered in the sky of Bengal and Calcuttans woke up to a new Bengali daily, Sangbad Pratidin which was founded by renowned Bengali industrialist Mr. Swapan Sadhan Bose (fondly known as ‘Tutuda’). Today, Sangbad Pratidin, adhering to the standardised global size, is the fastest growing, multi edition modern generation Bengali Daily that is simultaneously published from Kolkata, Barjora (South Bengal) & Siliguri (North Bengal).
